Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson, inarguably the best and most successful manager of all time. At the the age of 71, he decides to retire after managing Manchester United for 26 years. 38 trophies including 13 Premier League Titles, 5 FA cups and 2 Champions leagues, his efforts have been proven none the less. May 8th he announced he would retire at the end of the season, but still at the club as a director and club ambassador. David Moyes (current Everton coach), Manchester United's replacement has huge shoes to fill as would anyone following the managerial role of this incredible manager. He has left such a legacy at the club.

For the past few years rumors floated around that Jose Mourinho or Pep Guardiola would fill the spot, but I feel David Moyes, 50 suits the role much better. He has signed a 6 year deal so he's already set to continue the trend. With Everton, Moyes has managed eight top 10 finishes in 11 season including a fourth placed finish in 2005 and fifth place in 2008 and 2009. Also in 2009 Everton narrowly lost 2-1 to Chelsea in the FA Cup final, the closest Moyes has come to winning a trophy with Everton. This includes a semi-final appearance in 2012. Moyes is certainly a good replacement.
Another thing Moyes has is the presence of Sir Alex Ferguson upstairs. This means the great man is only a doors knock away should Moyes feel he needs a little nudge in the right direction or a helping hand. Being the manager is the toughest job in the game. The weight of responsibility that falls on the newly-appointed David Moyes is immense.
Manchester United had a terrific season winning the title, this form is expected to be continued under new manager and the only way to find out is to wait and see.
